What Exists Now, Next, and Later
Current October 2026 Alpha economics and rollout, three-year sequencing, and the distinction between shipped and planned features.
Relationship to the master guide. This topic page organizes existing content from the NOS Studio Canonical Knowledge Guide into a shorter, independently readable reference. The master guide remains the comprehensive source. Planned architecture is not necessarily available in the current Alpha product.
Fundamental safeguard. NOS metrics, AI outputs, and activity history do not automatically determine compensation, ownership, revenue participation, team membership, or authority. Those rights and obligations depend on explicit agreements and legitimate human decisions.
Current Architecture vs. Planned Architecture
This page describes both the foundational NOS architecture and the longer-term system it is designed to become.
Not every concept described here is necessarily available in the current product release.
Current and near-term product capabilities focus on production infrastructure: project formation, Digi-Pitches, Discovery, Work Cards, Commitments, collaboration, execution, evidence, and economic coordination.
Other capabilities — including mature on-chain infrastructure, advanced predictive metrics, creative capital markets, direct distribution, and the Watcher layer — are planned layers expected to emerge in stages as the platform and ecosystem mature.
For exact instructions about the current application interface, users should rely on the latest official NOS product guides and tutorials.
Current Product Status and Alpha Rollout
NOS has moved beyond concept development. The MVP was built and launched, the initial pilot was completed with user survey data, and the product is now entering Alpha.
The current Alpha schedule is a staged rollout beginning in early October 2026, with the full Alpha release planned by October 31, 2026. Earlier NOS documents and investor materials that reference a September Alpha date should be treated as superseded by this current schedule.
The purpose of Alpha is not to expose every long-term feature described in the NOS architecture. It is to prove the core production system in real use: people should be able to originate projects, make those projects visible through Digi-Pitches, discover collaborators, define work, negotiate and record commitments, form working teams, execute and review work, preserve project history, and resolve the basic payment, participation, and ownership relationships that later layers depend on.
Alpha is therefore the beginning of the operating system becoming a real environment for creative production, not the completion of the full NOS vision.
Three-Year Product Roadmap
The current product roadmap is intentionally sequenced. NOS does not attempt to build the capital market, predictive intelligence, direct distribution network, and audience layer before the production system itself has generated enough real activity to support them.
Year 1: Run creative projects → Year 2: Understand and finance creative projects → Year 3: Connect projects, people, capital, IP, and audiences into a scalable creative economy.
Year 1 — Core Production System
The first year establishes NOS as an operating environment for creative projects. Core capabilities include Digi-Pitch and project creation, Discovery, member and project discovery, Work Cards, negotiation and Commitments, team formation, project boards, submissions, reviews and acceptance, payments and payout records, ownership and participation tracking, project history, and the foundational Event Spine.
The central proof is not feature count. It is whether someone with an idea can move through the complete production lifecycle inside NOS while creating the persistent records later layers depend on: projects, commitments, accepted work, contributors, decisions, ownership relationships, and economic outcomes.
Year 2 — Intelligence and Economic Infrastructure
Once meaningful project activity exists, the second year turns accumulated activity into intelligence and deeper economic infrastructure. The metric architecture becomes more complete: Creative Capital, Effort & Fulfillment, Project State, Creator Stewardship, Coordination Load, and contextual CPI can become explainable collaboration signals tied to real project outcomes.
The Event Spine and metric system form a learning loop: NOS can compare the conditions that existed before an event with what actually happened afterward. That supports increasingly useful project and talent discovery, contributor and Owner history, advanced ownership and revenue accounting, Backer participation, project-financing infrastructure, distribution analytics, and expanded capital-formation tools.
The objective is better visibility, not automated authority. Algorithms may explain risk, momentum, or patterns; participants still decide whom to work with, what to fund, what terms to accept, and what creative direction to pursue.
Year 3 — Network Scale and Catalog Economy
By the third year, the emphasis shifts from individual projects to the network effects created by many projects and participants. Contribution histories compound. Collaboration data compounds. Ownership positions and portfolios accumulate. Finished work begins forming a meaningful catalog.
Planned capabilities include large-scale project discovery, increasingly predictive collaboration intelligence, portfolio and IP analytics, expanded financing and ownership transactions, automated long-tail revenue participation, mature external-distribution integrations, catalog discovery, and Owner/project audience signals.
Year 3 prepares NOS technically and economically for direct NOS distribution and the Watcher layer. It does not make direct streaming a fixed-date promise. Direct distribution remains scale-triggered: catalog size, release cadence, production volume, and audience demand must justify it first.
MVP Pilot Signal
The initial MVP pilot was intended to test the thesis as well as the interface. Survey results reported in current investor materials provide an early signal that users understood both the product and its value proposition.
- Account creation received an average rating of 9.6 out of 10.
- Tutorial helpfulness received an average rating of 8.7 out of 10.
- 86% of respondents said NOS was better than existing methods.
- 76% said NOS helped them discover collaborators.
- 90% rated their understanding of NOS between 8 and 10.
The important point is not that an early pilot proves the entire business. It does not. The signal is that participants were able to understand a new coordination model and could already see practical value in connecting people who have ideas with people who have the skills or interest to help build them.
Initial Market and Adoption Strategy
NOS begins where new projects form and where the coordination problem is already painful: small creative teams creating new intellectual property.
The first market focus is film and animation, particularly students, independent animators, emerging studios, and other compact teams that have real creative ambition but fewer institutional tools for team formation, work definition, ownership, and backend participation.
Initial market development is centered in Georgia and Florida. Current investor materials identify the FSU College of Motion Picture Arts, Floyd County Animation in Georgia, emerging startup studios, Trilith Ventures, and direct professional networks as early channels or partner relationships for projects and participants.
This go-to-market strategy matters because NOS has a built-in team-level adoption mechanism. An Owner does not use the system alone. A project can bring multiple collaborators and Backers into the platform with it. Adoption therefore has the potential to propagate project by project and team by team rather than only one individual account at a time.
What Exists Now, What Comes Next, and What Comes Later
Because the NOS architecture is intentionally larger than the first software release, every public explanation should distinguish current product reality from planned infrastructure.
Now — Alpha production infrastructure
The staged Alpha rollout begins in October 2026, with full Alpha release targeted by October 31, 2026. The immediate focus is the production system: Digi-Pitches, Discovery, Members and Projects, Work Cards, Commitments, team formation, execution, submission/review/acceptance flows, and project history. Current Alpha does not charge NOS platform fees and does not require or implement IP sharing with NOS. Broader ownership, marketplace, financing, distribution, and long-tail economic layers belong to later product stages unless specifically identified as currently available.
Next — deeper production intelligence and economic infrastructure
As real Project activity accumulates, NOS can deepen the Event Spine, contribution history, ownership accounting, metrics, explainable collaboration intelligence, Backer participation, financing infrastructure, economic resolution, distribution integrations, and the learning loop between Metric State and actual outcomes.
Later — network-scale creative economy
At sufficient scale, many Projects and participants create a different kind of system: portfolios, reusable collaboration histories, IP networks, catalog economics, capital formation, advanced prediction, long-tail automation, and eventually direct distribution and the Watcher audience layer.
Direct NOS distribution remains scale-triggered, not merely date-triggered. A meaningful catalog, release cadence, production volume, and audience opportunity must exist first.
